LN #217 – Hands Up!

The Bad-Ass, Phenom Supreme

This is a five-star, A-plus (and X-rated!) episode, with Langdon welcoming back the multi-talented rapper from Wu Tang Clan – Supreme (aka Lamont A. Compton); he talks about new films he’s help produce, new music he’s about to drop, and new talent – like John Marshall Jones, who hits us with his latest single, “Sweaty Booty Cheeks;” yes, it’s a comedy song, and it’s fabulous; there’s also the Sheriff of Cockingham, White Girl Porn and Paranormal Pu$$y; plus, in a Hennessy-fueled moment of comedy ecstasy, Langdon gets Supreme to rap a love song to the beautiful, J. Nichole Brooks (aka Double D) and to make a crank call to the celebutante Bai Ling!  It’s honestly one of the funnest – and funniest – shows of all time; plus, there’s lots of Supreme’s new music to keep your iPod a poppin’!

Are the Russians invading?…Has Obama lost his mind?…Where in the world is Cory Pearman?…these questions, and more, answered on today’s show; plus, a big (and happy) update on Pop – which just might include a special appearance!…also, Pantone tells the fashion industry what color should be “the color of the year” and Langdon might have a few things to say about that; there’s also some inside info about new movies and the Crew debates whether Sacha Baron Cohen is funny or not; plus, Busta Rutt thinks he can do news better than Langdon; tune in and decide for yourself!

LN #215 – Back to Business

You Can't Keep Pop Down!

Langdon is back, after an unexpected hiatus, and tells the story of Pop’s emergency surgery back in Florida; he’s jet lagged and not intoxicated, so he can barely tell the dramatic tale; the Crew is there is to back him up, though (and to make fun of him) and the conversation morphs into the origins of gin, new Olympic sports, and all the things that happened in the world while Langdon was stuck in a hospital waiting room; condolences to the Beastie Boys and congratulations to a special listener for his wedding; all this, plus a deep analysis of Puff the Magic Dragon (ha!) and more tomfoolery on today’s long awaited show!  Very special thank yous to all the listeners who sent prayers and get well messages to Pop; both he and Langdon appreciate the love and support more than words can say.

LN #214 – Close Encounters of the Furry Kind

It’s just Langdon and the Crew today, cutting up and enjoying the warm, sunny feelings of a fast-approaching summer (and a couple of bottles of Andre’ Champagne); the Crew gives up a  lot of personal information today, as requested by many of your letters, including Tony telling about his new flame; we have to harass him, of course, and then the Crew makes fun of Langdon – only one zinger of which he actually deserves, for getting his “Blactors” mixed up in comedy gone embarrassingly wrong; plus, Tony tries out his new sound effects doohickey (and goes a little crazy), the Titanic gets revisited and Double D and Langdon come out of the closet, admitting to having some furry friends – and they get pretty squirrely telling the tale!

LN #213 – The Birds and the Bees

The Lovely Sharon Stanley with Langdon and Nic

Spring has sprung and the studio is filled with blooming flowers and buzzing bees, which is another way to say that Langdon and the Crew are especially frisky today; it might also be because of the lovely guest, international singer Sharon Stanley, the primary vocalist for the best big band in history (that’s still performing more than 60 years later) The Glenn Miller Orchestra; she’s a true diva with amazing stories about everybody including some inside info about the historic LA neighborhood Hancock Park, the true story behind The Girl From Ipanema, and Christo’s deadly umbrellas; plus, Michael line dances, Langdon confesses, and Nic has some lovely Easter eggs to share with you!  Check out the website to see extra pics and find a link to Sharon’s page.

See Sharon Live!
